If u have a core 2 duo or an amd 940. yes.
if u have a demanding processor like an i7, or an amd 955 then it wont, It could artifact.
which means ull see funny glitches while gaming.

Yes, quite easily.JigglyWiggly_but the HD4850X2 requres a 6-pin PCI-E Connector AND an 8-pin PCI-E connector.
Why the HELL would ATI Make such a decision? Sure its a great video card, but it is worth the extra 100$ everyone's gonna have to spend on a new power-supply?

I mean, I've heard some bad stories with adapters of all sorts. Yeah, my friend uses a 6-pin to 8-pin PCIe adapter, as long as your PSU has the amps available it should be fine.
