No, you need a Geforce 8000 series or ATI 2000 series to get Dx10 iirc.
Its all good though Dx10 is highly overrated, not to mention its a scam.

LOL very funny, yea every PC gaming company is trying to shove it down our throats.
dx10 is not a "scam". thats a rather blunt and none to well thought out summary of how pc tech advances are working. The U.S. govt is forcing all tv to be digital starting in 2009 which will eliminate ppl using rabbit ears, etc to pick up local tv airwaves. This is not a scam but a necessary push to advance tech as a whole. The pc force use of dx10 is different i agree, but the same principal applies. Microsoft and affiliates realize that dx9 has its limits and thus they made dx10. They did consider making a dx10 to go with xp but chose against it. dx10 is vista exclusive and therefore all new gpu's being made are of course going to adhere to new tech standards. The new stardard being forces into acceptance is dx10. This isnt an altogether bad thing as dx10 has mounds more potential than dx9c. dx10 is just the next step in things and is here to stay. there is no scam involved, its just new tech. if you dont like the pricing... wait. all new tech is and will be expensive, so if you want to be on the bandwagon you will pay to be there... just like the rest of us. Think before you type man.Valor958
A) Dx10 does little if anything for Crysis, considering the "very high settings" hack. All it does is hog fps. Crytek artificially limited the performance of Crysis in Dx9 because it is Microsoft's bed buddy.
B) Dx10 is Vista exclusive because Vista is s*** and Microsoft thinks scamming gamers will help pay the development costs of their software.
C) You are arrogant. Think before you type, man, you appear rather blunt and none too well thought out.

Idunno, I dont think the developers like it any more than we do. its a lot more work for them for, in my experience, a teeny tiny difference. Its only the publishers and developers that microsoft makes their *****es.

you are being arrogant not him. you think that one game in the very early stages of dx10 represents all the quality that dx10 can give. secondly it isnt scamming if you are pushing your new operating system by encouraging gamers who need dx10 to buy it. thirdly, your argument makes no sense because you say that dx10 gives very little improvement but then complain that we are getting the short straw, but mainly it boils down to vista being s***. you give no other proof that vista really is a scam other that it sucking. and repeating what other people say doesnt make you right 'think before you type' thats pathetic! its a lazy man's excuse to bag people out.1. 7600GT is only go's up to Dx 9.
2. Dx 10 ATM is junk, little if any eye candy improvements with performance hits of extreme magnitude (By that i mean even 8800's struggling to play Dx 10 with decent FPS) i'm not saying Dx 10 will be like this forever, but it is right now.
