Hey everyone I need some help in finding out if my computer will support the new Diablo coming out. I have a 5th generation MAC. Currently My specs are: OS X: 10.5.8 Memory: 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Processor: 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Graphics: GMA X3100 I know i am below some of the system requirements and that is the reason I bought: 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory module I will be updating my 10.5.8 to the most current OS X Lion in the next couple days. Will my 4GB memory module upgrade and upgrade to Lion be enough to play D3?

Yea they make a Mac version for all Diablo Games, I am sure DIII will be no different.

Now about your specs, I think you should be ok to play it, I am not positive, but I think your GPU is not up to par. You may need to buy a discrete gpu that will work with your system, that is if your system is even able.

Ask this in the pc hardware forum, and you will get prolly get more replies, and prolly even more accurate ones.

That Intel card will probably blow chunks even under Lion which they have totally reworked how OpenGL interacts with their GPU's.

I don't think your GPU is up to par. You MIGHT be able to play on low, but I'm not really sure.

I'd be worried by the RAM first and foremost, then afterwards i'd be worried about the GPU

I bought the upgrade for the RAM!!! I will have 4GB by the end of the week. I barely used this computer for gaming and never touched it in regards of upgrading it. It's been lightning fast ever since I've gotten it back in the day.

No way. You need a new computer. Blizzard games do work on older computers, but not that old. That computer is like 2002-2003. You could probably run the game on any computer made in 2007 or later. Diablo 3 has slightly higher requirements than both WoW and Starcraft 2. You might be able to play WoW at lowest settings, but not Diablo 3.

Torchlight 2 is an option for you. It should work fine on your computer. Not max settings, but the framerate will be good. It is expected to come out in July. It is hack 'n slash just like Diablo 3, but plays more like Diablo 2. (Diablo 3 makes quite a few changes compared to Diablo 2.)

You need an 8600M GT minimum, your graphics chip is around 5-10 times slower than the minimum card. Thus I think you would be talking about single digit frames on the lowest settings.
