Will Quad Core last me long?

Quad Core should last a while if you overclock.

It'll last adleast 3-4 years. I'm sure.

If you mena core 2 quad, then most c2qs still have alot of life in them. My q6700 @ 3.2ghz still serves me well and I have no plans to upgrade it for 2 years, it isnt even being used to its full potential yet.

I think it can last for 3-4 years more. The only game that uses and quad-core now is GTA IV. You should be fine with 4GB of memory for now, and probably you can upgrade it to 8GB if you need, and your motherboards have slots. I didn't hear nothing about a new slot for graphics cards, so i think you can upgrade your PC and stay with the Quad Core. ;D
