As long as you don't install a second 120mm fan on the other side(ram side) you'll be fine. It sits vertical on the mobo when installed.

I just built a machine with one ( http://i.imgur.com/ByojA.jpg andhttp://i.imgur.com/eOcX7.jpg) and it clears the case side panel by literally 1mm... i was so lucky. So don't forget to check internal case spacing.

You should be more concerned about if the heatsink will fit in your case.

I have a Hyper 212+ still in it's box because it can't fit in my case lol (too tall).
