PSU is overkill IMO. Also you can grab Q6600 and easily overclock it to Q6700. And you also dont need that amount of RAM. 2GB will do just fine.

EDIT: 24" LCD wouldnt hurt whit that setup.

What resolution is that Viewsonic using?? If it is standard 24" resolution i suggest you go for 24" LCD, which will gave you more sharpen picture, since pixels are smaller.

I have about $2.4k without monitor and without shipping plus built by yourself.

Edit- You tell me it is cheaper then that and you are BS.

ok i dont want to downgrade the psu since im overclocking this cpu higher , and i want 4gb for vista, 2.4 k is not bad for a top of the line system, and the i need the 28 monitor cause i also intend to put consoles into it, and want somthing large. thanks for the help though.

ok so reduce power to say650 watts and buy a Q6600 and overclock itto the Q6700 speed. also get a 24'' monitor (forget about rhe 28'' ill just use my tv for my consoles.) also i looked into it a 2gb is good (ill buy ddr2 800 and overclock it?) this all sould bring the cost down by 600 bucks , so that about 1800 for the system and 600 for the 24'' . so 2400 for a dream pc, not bad , right?
