not bad for a laptop. dont expect to run crysis at "higher than high quality" but you probably could run at like medium

at a decent resolution. Youd definitely run everything, although id suggest a desktop if you really wanted to game at max settings. you could for the same price.

lol, its not hard. just do a quick google, actually corsair memory has a great guide. anyways...

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 for $160. Killer Overclocker!
GPU: AMD HD 4870, can upgrade to a second later for extra perf. $265
MOBO: Intel X48 for $200
RAM: 2x2 gb of RAM for about $70
PSU: Corsair 650W for like $115
CASE: for a cheap one the coolermaster CM50 ( i think thats the model) for $50. Otherwise the antec sonatas are great.
DVD: Lite-ON $15
HDD: 320gb seagate/wd $70
OS: Vista Home Premium OEM $107

total: $1097. this thing is top of the line, and upgradeable!

any mouse and keyboard and speakers (i recommend g5, eclipse II, x-540 in that order).
any monitor (i recommend 226bw)

All of these can be found on newegg, just search what i have put. You could probably get good deals and Mail-In-Rebates.

Good Luck!

its over 1500,but a little extra cash cant hurt.. plus its a kick ass set up! youre going to need an OS and mouse and keyboard.also a cpu cooler if you plan on over clocking. a cheap mouse and keyboard can last you until you can pick up something a litte more costly if you want to wait.
