i am currently using amd x2 4400 with 8800gt 512mb..

i think my cpu is bottlenecking my gc alot, especially in 3dmark06 and some games.. so thinking of upgrading to amd x2 6000.. but how much better is 6000 compare to 4400? will it still bottleneck?

No, an 8800GT and a 6000+ should be a good match. The 6000+ has a bigger L2 cache and clocks in at a much higher core clock (3 GHZ vs 2.3 GHZ).

At higher resolutions, most games become more or less gpu reliant anyway. What res are you playing at?

I'd say it's worth the upgrade imo.

got same fps and 3dmark06 score in 1024x and 1440x.. around 9500+.. pretty lame..

must mean the cpu is bottlenecking.. got to upgrade fast..
