I just bought a Dell XPS 7100, inside looks like this.

http://www.desktopreview.com/shared/picture.asp?f=6399

Dimensions:

Height: 16.02" (407.75 mm)
Width: 7.31" (185.81 mm)
Depth:17.9" (454.67mm)

OR 16.02 x 7.31 x 17.9 inches (HxWxD)

I want to get a V8 Cool Master heatsink, picture below.

http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?category_id=1623&product_id=2869

Dimensions:

120 x 128 x 161.1mm

Will this heatsink fit? I have a AM3 socket and the heatsink supports it.

I seriously doubt it. Manufacturer PCs are usually built to very exacting standards that make as efficient use of space as possible. There's also usually a funnel built into the side of the case that covers the CPU thus making it impossible to install any kind of heatsink beyond what the manufacturer put in there. Even if the V8 could be installed in your PC it wouldn't do you any good. Prefabs like Dell lock their BIOS to prevent people from overclocking the CPU, and if you can't overclock then there's no point in using a heatsink beyond the standard one.

Ya, it wont fit in that case and if it did, most prebuilt Pc's dont allow bios OC.
