I should fit, my case is 8 inch wide and it fits in mine. you might have some trouble with the side panel fan hitting it, it is about 7.5 inches from the back of the case to the top of the CM V8

Don't bother with the V8. It's overpriced and doesn't cool nearly as well as cheaper heatsinks. Look for the xigmatek s-1283. It's about $35 and it probably the best heatsink on the market.

That True A V8 + fan Is Better then Xigamtek S1283 Anytime how ever if you want The Best Cpu Cooler Thermalright True 120 Extreme + A Fan like S-Flex or if you want something better you can get : Penaflo 120mm or Scythe 120mm Kaze 3000RPM static Pressure

Difference beetween penafloo and the Kaze is Penafloo durabiltiy is higher warranty more performances i heard as it industrial quality for Server And such

I read many reviews and benchmarks on the V8 before I purchased it for my new build and it cooled better then the Thermalright True on some tests and beat the cheaper ones in every test, I can play Crysis and GTA 4 and never go above 40c on my cpu with all cores almost maxed out,

that not true : the Review didn't use thermalright 120 True + a fan but at stock cooling without fan
as far i know once you got a fan it still the thermalright True 120 which is the king

how do you know what reviews I am even refering to in order to be able to state they are not true.. and yes it did use the Thermalright 120 true extream vs the Coolermaster V8 both with 120mm fans with the cpu at standard 3.0ghz and overclocked at different levels up to 4.0ghz with the volts from 1.25 to 1.45 they hung neck and neck on almost every test or within 1 degree of each other, the stock cooler ran anywhere from 17 degrees to 30 degrees higher then the other two..
