I posted a thread about this earlier. I'm considering getting a new laptop and I want to get one that can run Mass Effect (the first one). I customized an HP dm4t on Costco and it has the following:
- 2nd generation Intel Dual Core i5-2410M (2.3 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
- 6 GB DDR3 RAM (2 DIMMs)
- 1GB Radeon HD 6470M DDR3 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
So will this be able to run Mass Effect?

Well,I posted this in your old thread. Hope it helps. By the way, how much did that laptop you customize at costco cost you?
Oh yeah, that laptop should be able to run mass effect on high settings
Well, the specs for the original Mass Effect are pretty low, since it's pretty old : (These are the reccomended specs)
CPU: 2.6Ghz (1 core)
RAM: 2GB
GPU:ATI X1800 XL series or higher, NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GTX or higher
I was actually browsing around and came across a Dell Inspiron 17R for 750$. It should be able to max out both Mass Effect 1 and 2, run today's PC games at medium-high settings, watch HD movies, and it comes with a free 4GB Xbox 360 console. It's a heck of a deal, but it only lasts till september 18, so you'd better get it fast.
Here's the laptop: http://www.dell.com/ca/p/special-offers.aspx?cs=cappp1 ( Scrolldown a bit)
And a review: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/dell-inspiron-17r.aspx ( Note: The laptop they are reviewing is currently is 750$)
And the specs:
CPU: Second-generation Intel Core i5-2410M ( 4 cores, 2.3 GHz that can be overclocked to 2.9GHz)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT525M ( Note: this graphics card is better than the one in your customized laptop)
Screen: 17 inch, 1600 x 900 ( HD capable)
RAM: 6GB
Hope you have fun playing Mass Effect.
