Processor Speed: 1.9GHz

RAM: 3GB

Graphic: ATI Radeon HD 3200 RS780M

I am planning to buy a laptop now for film editing, but at the time I hope it will run SC2 smoothly.

it's enough for editing and also gaming, buy a notebook cooling pad to avoid overheat.

Blizzard is pretty good about not making games that require a super-powerful computer to run, but we don't know what Starcraft 2 will require to run yet. That being said, the HD3200 isn't particularly powerful, but it's not terrible either. I'd probably be just as worried about the processor as the graphics chip, neither of them are really powerful from a gaming standpoint.

I think a 8600GT (which I have) would be the card you would want to get if you don't want to spend a lot on a computer that has a great graphics card. A lot of computers with a powerful GPU tend to be kind of expensive. What's your budget? There is a gateway laptop that Best Buy usually has a deal on and it had 4 GB Ram, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz (I think), and a 9800GTX. I think it cost like $1100 or something like that. Some other models are the same thing instead it was a 8800GTS.

Try to get something with the HD2600 or the 2500/3600 varients.. The 3200 is actually the weakest of the new slew of Radeon release video cards..

Thank for your guys reply.

It's really only a few choices in futureshop or bestbuy in terms of graphic card.

HD 3200, Radeon HD 3470 or GeForce 8400M GS, there's all you can choose from the graphic card.

Maybe I will buy it and update the graphic card later, but it didn't tell if the motherboard is accessible for newer graphic card or not.

I thought the HD2600 is weaker but it's actually more powerful than HD3200. :)

as i heard off Geforce 8400M GS is powerfuller
id have to see some benchmar of laptop HD2600 vs HD3200 Vs HD 3470 VS 8400M GS & 8600M GT
for Starcraft 2 even if they say minium or Requirement the game is self may Require at last 2GB+
vista 3GB+ for max setting depend of laptop resolutions some are 1680x1050 some 1440x950 something like that
to know off 8 player + hundred of unit all max is pretty needing power
for 1920x1200 alot of power

like wow you say wow require nothing but if you want no lag. 1920x1200+ It Require lot more power then 1280x1024
there some user on wow i know that play it at 2500x1600 or Dual monitor 1920x1200 to achive same effect as they say so single 2500x1600 it another thing but just a shown off that resolution matter 2500x1600 is requiring for sure a 8800GT to just think to run it at smooth XD without lag. SLI for Best setting. id say starcraft 2 may Scale same way : low : medium : high : Very high
and possible DX10 So but It True Blizzard Aren't power hunger for 1280x1024

Hi martchpro, thank you a lot. I really don't know much about graphic card but now the chart make everything clear. 8800GT is of cours much more powerful than HD3650. But my only concern for the X200-BG0 is its' cpu speed. Will 1.66 is too slow for some games?

will be ok for film editing, but gaming, forget it, that gpu wont run any new games decently. a 8600gt/2600/3650 is the lowest you want to go for decent gaming
