Will this PC handle very demanding games? Need opinions.

Will this particular PC handle very demanding games like Witcher2, Battlefield, Crysis 2, etc. at max?

My PC:

Intel i7 (six core) 980x Gulftown

Asus Sabertooth X58

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Radeon HD 6970 2GB

Also is this considered a high end PC?

A 2600k + CrossFire 6970 would thrash that over priced piece of silicone all over the park.

TC, I'm not sure if you are bragging or not but that's definitely a high-end system and can max out almost every game out there.

Should had crossfired though with the money thats thrown out already.

Of course that computer will run almost everything extremely well. However, I notice a lot of you guys bashing how much he spent on the CPU. Did he say how much he spent on it? Did he say where he got it? Maybe he bought the whole PC already put together off Craigslist or ebay for a huge discount. Maybe he bought the parts used for dirt cheap.. Who knows? Of course the 980x is pretty much obsolete due to Sandy Bridge (and probably Bulldzoer), but to assume that he wasted money when you don't even know how much he spent is just dumb.

I completely disagree. The mistake was made by those who assumed. He said nothing and asked nothing about price. It should never have come into the conversation unless he stated what he paid.

Sorry but nobody buys a 980x and not know their stuff. And those CPU's have very good resale so I dont see him snagging one for cheap on ebay unless the seller was very stupid.

See this is how internet is there are far too many trolls so there is nothing wrong in questioning the legitimacy of a user/thread even if there is not enough evidence supporting it.

So lets hear it from TC, how much did you pay for that CPU? And how did you end up buying it if you dont know much about computers?

So did you buy this already or are you planning to? Cause if you havent bought it yet go 1155 motherboard and i5 2500k for gaming. Unless you like throwing money away.

Edit: If you like throwing money away then do this ^^ and buy two GTX 580s instead of one 6970.
