Hi im getting a 4870 as soon as there out. I would just like to know:

1) Will my OCZ 520 watt PSU be powerful enough to power it
2) I only have a 6 pin connect will i need a 6pin + 8 pin for the new 4870 ??

my rig is:
E6600
X1950 pro (Its showing its age)
4 gig of ram
660 GB Hard drive
22 inch + 19 inch widescreen montior.

I dont intend to overclock so will one 6 pin be ok ?

If im not mistaken, you need 2 6 pin connectors for the 4870. And they should be enough for overclocking.

You need 2 6 pin but i'm pretty sure a 2x4 pin to 6 pin converter is included with the card. You'd be safer with a new psu like the Corsair 650W.

The recommended is a crappy 500w.

And that ocz is not crappy, so it should probably even run crossfire 4850 without problems.

22-26amps in the 12v rail for the 4850.
