what do you think? They must be far enough along in the game to show a trailer before the years out. Something to keep our anticipation up for the game.

It'd be nice....
Won't hold my breath waiting though. Either way, I've got plenty of games to play regardless, so it's certainly not on my radar at the moment.
It would literally be a Christmas miracle if they did
and by that, I think marketing would be like "Hey, lets do this on Christmas or something, and say 'coming Christmas 2010' "
but no, I dont think they will
I doubt they hardly have anything to show. They have writer's block with ep 3.

Not only is it full of fascinating insights into the Half-Life universe but Laidlaw also states that the story for the episodes was fleshed out before episode one was made. Which is really good to know.
I personally think Valve is maintaining absolute silence on this because they simply don't want to show anything until they're nearly finished the game. I think we will probably see our first glimpse at E3 next year and a release in fall 2010.
Read this.MrWednesday14Well I read it, and it didn't sound convincing. And his exact words were "relatively fleshed out", which could mean anything. The fact is, Valve has shown us zero progress with episode 3, so we can only assume that progress has been stalled.

I agree.
I did not read the link (I am drunk atm) but personally, I trust Valve.
I think they re gonna wow us like never before. I even bet theyre gonna release A.) a heavily modified Source engine, or B.) even Source 2.0. With that said, they are remaining tight-lipped about the plot because they really want to surprise us. If it is half as exciting as the plot of Episode 2, it will not be a letdown.
As I said, I have faith in Valve concerning their original work, I think the rest of PC gamers should as well. They really are one of the few remaining champions of PC gaming.
