So who here will be getting the PC version of GTA 5?
Will you be playing it for the first time, getting it again just for better graphics, mods?

ONLY if the following conditions are met:
1- Port must be flawless after the garbage that was GTA4
2- Online mode needs to fix the spawn camping
3- Someone really needs to convince me that it's fun, has a good story, and better than Watch Dogs
4- Has to be cheaper since the game has been out a year or something
5- If I can be bothered

1. It'll be GTA4 again most likely.
2. Theres no spawn camping on consoles, is it even possible?
3. The story is meh, except for Michael IMO
4. Its R*, highly doubt it.
5. Same here, already played it.
Might give it a try, but took them too long, so I lost interest. I guess it depends on whether it's a proper port....one "Press triangle" and they can shove it...

I heard people saying that when you finish a mission, someone is waiting for you to come out of that mission instance with a shotgun.... easy kill and take money?
I probably will, but it has to prove its decently optimized first. Not like GTA 4, as I won't pre-order, or get it launch day. It will more than likely be something I worry with once I build my new rig, with a nice 6-core Icore 7.
I haven't played GTA in a long time. I started with the originals, then played GTA 3, and Vice City on the original Xbox. After that never really played it. So it will be a fresh experience for me.
it really coming to pc?
i'll get it for sure probably then. I've had both versions of most gta games on consoles throughout the decade and always hated the console ones the most from its choppy graphics. The only game i never got on pc was GTA4 because i hated the storyline so much i never ended up buying it again for pc. The only problems i had with the pc version of gta was in San Andreas with one of the flying missions and had to use a controller to be able to do it.
I remember getting GTA3 and Vice City on the xbox after I had already played it on pc and what a piece of crap it was on a console, PC is the only way to go.
I already have it on PS3, but I will 100% purchase it on PC. According to what I've read, your GTA Online character will transfer across versions, so my PS3 online character with his apartment and everything can now be on PC, with the additional wildlife and player count and graphics that are sure to accompany.
I honestly was excited to get Watch_Dogs, but man that game did not pan out to the hype. It is definitely not a huge graphical improvement over GTA, with an extremely shallow city, mechanics, and story that I honestly am excited to get back into an open world game that knows what its doing. Considering how amazing the Max Payne 3 port was, I'd also wager GTA V might be better optimized than Watch_Dogs.
I only hope the amount of content addition is significant and that the price point is around $50 or less.

Its not like that, the biggest threat is when you go on a mission with other people, and one of them happens to be an asshat and tries to kill everyone when the mission is over and everyone spawns back into freeplay mode. It doesn't happen often in my experience and I've never seen any random players actually hanging around in an 'after mission area' waiting to kill people lol. I think they completely did away with being able to rob other players (actually, you were never able to do it in the first place...) They also have "Passive" mode where other players cant shoot you (like turning off friendly fire)
Thx for the info. Its good to know its not that bad as some say.
Ive heard in passive mode they can still run you over lol.....
@xhawk27
Rockstar has been rude.... We must respond in kind..... I'm not even a PC gamer I just really don't like it when a Studio does this...
I don't think "stealing" is the proper way to send a message. It allows the ass-hats to trot out their dead-horses and decry PC gaming as an unethical cesspool or thieves and buggery. Not buying the game, or waiting for it to go on sale for $5, is a better way to send a message. As an added benefit - it gives the clueless less ammunition to hurl at windmills.
I do agree with you about Rockstar. I'm not a fan. I think it's laughable that they release a game a year-and-a-half later on the PC and somehow I'm supposed to care. I'm supposed to be grateful. Yeah, right...
Of course. Even though I have played it on PS3... I am still getting it just to play it on the highest settings.
If it's anything like what EA did with Battlefield 4, then i think i'll hold off. I think i'll wait till i am able to make sure it is not a complete coding failure like Battlefield 4 was...i bought it expecting it to be the best FPS out there! Was disappointed. So yeah, if it is any good, i'll pick it up eventually, if not, then i guess not.
I might buy it just for curiosity. If I do buy it, it'll be my first Rockstar game ever.
Wait.. are you saying you've never played a GTA game? 0___0

I played a bit of it (IV and V) on the 360 when visiting friends and playing with the kids. But, I find it hard to get immersed with TPS games. Heck. It's hard enough for me to get immersed in Watch Dogs. I only have that game because it came free with my video card.
only when it's on sale
I already own the CE on ps3 and have played the sp for about 150 hours.(gtao is shit)
Maybe if it comes on sale. Rockstar's PC ports are iffy at best. What I'd really like is if they offered a deal where I could upgrade my digital PS3 GTA 5 purchase to the next-gen version for $20. Otherwise I'll wait until it hits that price on a sale.
If its a good port I'll prob buy it soon after release. If not I'll w8 for 75% off like I did for GTAIV.

Watch dogs is worse than All Points Bulletin. I cant believe people pay money for that game watch dogs!
