Already in it. Not joining the steam group or anything like that but the game looks rather dull considering it looks to be a simpler version of what I have now.
That's basically my situation. I suppose if I had bought L4D, I'd probably be in it. But I warned people that L4D was weak on actual content and to wait for the game to beef up in terms of maps/modes before purchasing it.Didn't get the 1st, not going to get the 2nd...

It really pissed me off when Valve anounced that they were going to release L4D2 at full price. That's content that they promised us for free! This new L4D is an expansion as far as I'm concerned and if they are going to charge at all they should charge at expansion prices.
I'm not sure if I will boycott the game since I really love playing L4D I'll probably just wait until STEAM has a half off weekend for the game.
Why get mad and cry about it like many did? Just don't buy it.
As fro the boycott, i do not own the first one, thought it was the first time a valve game seemed MEh to me.
no, mainly because its pointless. preorders are already greater then l4d1's were

And I guarentee that at least half of those are "boycotters"
I'm part of it.. L4D was too light on content to be worth the price, and plus I had much more fun with Killing Floor anyway.

I really want Killing Floor.
I bought the first game for the full 50 bucks and frankly only played it the first few weeks. I was also kind of peeved when I found the game for half off just a few short months later. So I won't be boycotting, but I definitely won't picking it up the first day either.
Will YOU join the Left For Dead 2 boycott?bcroger2No. My parents never dropped me on the head as a child.
Why would I? Left4Dead was awesome, Left4dead2 takes place in the South, so it must be more awesome.
Anyone who says "no' is a chump and a fool for being pushed around as a consumer. As well, they support turning gaming into a mainstream money machine where they spend more and more but recieve less and less.Dr_BrocoliDid you buy L4D1? If you did, it's your fault for spending money on something you thought was unfinished, or just not enough for the price tag. See, content is relative. Some ppl would prefer huge games with little polish, some ppl prefer small games polished till no end. I generally prefer to be somewhere in the middle, but if I have to chose, I chose the latter. Can't have both.

I said no because games don't run my life, they're pure entertainment. If it affected my life, then sure, maybe I would care a little more about how often a company releases a game. But, it's a game, it's meant to be fun, that's all I care about. I think making a boycott over a video game makes you a chump and a fool. Why not spend one's energy doing something a little bit more meaningful?

Exactly! Something like posting on an internet forum about games...Oh wait.Anyone who says "no' is a chump and a fool for being pushed around as a consumer. As well, they support turning gaming into a mainstream money machine where they spend more and more but recieve less and less.Dr_Brocoli
Anyone who says "yes" is a whiney noob whos just looking for a reason to complain about a game they havnt played and know barely anything about.

Hahaha, I'm actually at work, bored because today is really slow...
No I'm not joining some stupid group. It would be hypocritical because I'd probably buy it first time it goes on sale for $25. Got more than a few RL friends that love the first one even though they don't game, and they will most likely get the second as well.
Everyone **** about how Valve's development cycle is too long, and the one time they pull out a quick sequel we have people boycotting it. And no, L4D2 isn't the DLC that we were promissed - that was the other two versus maps and survival mode.
I played L4D at a friend's place and didn't like it and it makes no sense why I should care about the 2nd one. So, no, I won't join the boycott because the concept of one is just stupid.
At first I was going to, but then got back to playing LFD and wanted more of it. Why should I be upset that they are going to release a game I enjoy but with new settings, new characters, new weapons, new zombies?
I think people should boycott moreso about how long do we have to wait for Episode 3 of HL2.
I'll probably be doing this as well. I'm sure the game will be fun enough to justify at least that.I'm not sure if I will boycott the game since I really love playing L4D I'll probably just wait until STEAM has a half off weekend for the game.

No. I find people boycotting a game to be mundane and stupid. They need to make better use of their time.
