First of all what is your subnet of your lan? If it's 192.168.0.0/24 (aka your router ip is 192.168.0.1), you cannot use window's ICS. You need to change your subnet to something else. if you are not using 192.168.0.0 as your subnet, right click the network adapter, the wireless on the laptop and allow sharing. And I think you might have to do something with the ethernet adapter as well, I can't remember exactly.

If you are using 192.168.0.1 as your router, and want to know why it doesn't work is because, it makes the shared connections run under 192.168.0.0/24 subnet. This will cause ip address conflicts and general hell. It might even stop the whole network... I really wish they picked something less standard like a random class B or A address.

Yes, go to cmd, type arp /a Then your first host, under Internet Addresses is your router, what is it?
