EDIT: Fixed it! Thanks for all the input guys! Only thing is when I edited the bootloader, it killed ubuntu's bootloader, but it was a fresh install so I am just gonna reinstall.

Try inserting the xp disc, then act as if you are about to install it again. When you get to the delete partition screen, delete the 40gigs that you partitioned off to install Windows 7.So I was planning on dual booting Windows XP and Windows 7, so I partitioned my hdd with 40gb set aside for Windows7 and 400 something for Windows XP. Now, when I boot, it asks me to load windows 7 or older version of windows. Only it won't load the earlier version (xp) when I choose that option.
How do I remove 7, Keep XP, and not lose my files on XP?
Thanks

Download easy bcd and setup your boot options. Its a nice program I had Xp,Vista and Win7 beta there for awhile. http://apcmag.com/how_to_dualboot_vista_with_xp__stepbystep_guide_with_screenshots.htm- dualbooting help

If you have vista or win 7 installed you have to use the vista type based boot loader cant use XP's use that guide and easy bcd to fix your issue.04dcarraherThe thing is, I deleted Windows 7, reformatted the Partition it was on and replaced with ubuntu (which I am keeping) but it still gives me the option to boot into 7 even though I removed it. (when I click that option it realizes it is gone)
