OEM is tied to one board unless you call Microsoft and ask nicely. What problems were you having with the board? Gigabyte is a solid brand.
You're not supposed to, but you can without any issues.

but the Key will show up as been used right?
also to the other post. how easy are they to give you another key if you say my mobo died?

Yes the key will show up as used. When I upgraded I had to call microsoft and after hours and hours getting the run around they finally said they were supposed to charge 10 or 20$ (dont remember exactly) but gave me a new key anyway.
can't also uninstall my current mobo drivers and just install the new one with the drivers that board comes with??

Yes; that is why full retail versions are the most expensive.
you should be able to re-activate windows online with ur new mobo but if u've reinstalled it numerous times, u would have to call. usually the automated lady would ask you how many computers you have installed windows on and just say 1 and you're good to go.mike4realz
i was thinking the same thing i have only reinstalled it on the same Build twice scince then.
