the windows 7 is the next upcoming operating system from microsoft. it has touch-screen capability, are u going to buy a touch screen capable lcd monitor to use that function. that is a new experience to pc users.

those multi-touch monitors are expensive, so when u buy windows 7, will u also buy the touchscreen lcd to take advantage of that?

yes, or no and why, what are your reasons.

No, I don't like using touch on my PC, its cool on phones or iPod touch though. Plus I can spend the money on a better thing(A better monitor, CPu, GPU, All new system, Ice cream).

I've used laptops with touch screens and Win98 installed 10 years ago. It's horrible. It's tiring andinprecise, not to mention your screen gets dirty in no time.

hmmm...

i think it's gonna have the two functions, tactil or not...

as vista; cause there are tactils pc's with vista and other pc's with vista (as me) without tactil stuff...

so, maybe they release both possibilities I hope so, hehe, cause i have a good monitor, not tactil and i'd like to have 7, in here

;)

I won't be IMHO it's a waste of money. It's mainly for people who have a lot of money to waste.

Fingerprints all over my monitor? I don't think so. Touchscreens are gimmicky and really on useful in very specific situations. There are many other unique devices I'd rather use.

The only time I'd use a touchscreen on my gaming PC is with all those virtual cockpit switches in Falcon 4.0, as I can't justify the cost and space involved in having actual, physical equivalents of each switch. Otherwise, I don't see the point for desktop use. Now, if you're talking Tablet PCs and the like, I could see a good use for touch-it lends itself a bit better to mobile computing. However, when it comes to those Tablet PCs, it's mostly Wacom pen input that I'm concerned with, and touch sensitivity could just get in the way of that whenever I'm trying to write or draw something.

Hi I could see this function for business perhaps butfor gaming no.

I am very fussy about keeping my screen clean when it comes to games.
