Windows XP Tablet, Windows Vista and Windows 7 had on-screen keyboards.... You just turn it on or off depending if you need it or have the hardware.

But if they're showing this off before they show off anything else, then they're probably focusing on tablets right now and that's bad.

I still don't see what all the backlash about Microsoft adding mobile features to their OS is all about. You don't have to use the features on your desktop!

Seriously, also that virtual keyboard is the reason for that video, showcasing the new virtual keyboard. I don't get all these "speculations", if I make a video with the 7 desktop keyboard, does that mean 7 was built exclusively for tablets and such?

The video is just from a leaked beta build.

YES YES PEOPLE. Microsoft will concentrate on pushing forward tablet and touch technology in this new OS, or haven't any of you noticed the upgrades between XP, Vista and 7 in relation to touch/tablet?

What's the big deal... tablets and touch is a great technology...they have the basis of Win7 as the soul of the OS so it's going to be stable and perform well already...

Show me why I as a PC gamer would want to replace W7 with W8. Till then, piss off MS.....

They need to rebuild a severe amount of trust as far as I'm concerned.

I personally think they'll make it optional to have the whole touch screen interface. There's no way they'd make us suffer that interface with a mouse

What do you mean by rebuilding trust? The improvement from XP to 7 is amazing.
