Sounds like this is more for businesses to keep in line with their images. Most places aren't updating to 8 since they probably just did Windows 7 recently. We did the same thing when Windows 7 and Vista were out and all the images for the machines were on XP. xXDrPainXx
Why on earth would I buy a windows 8 license just to put windows 7 when I already have a windows 7 license?

Well maybe because when businesses buy new hardware it comes with an OS license, that OS license is generally the latest, our University came with Windows Vista and they rolled back to XP... A complete and utter waste of about 500 Vista licenses. It just happens.[QUOTE="NailedGR"][QUOTE="xXDrPainXx"]Sounds like this is more for businesses to keep in line with their images. No PC we have bought has ever come with an OS on it.

It's stupid I know, I guess it's because they had like £50mill to spend on a new campus and just didn't care about the cost of a measly 500 machines, or maybe they got a bulk deal or something but I see it in hospitals and offices as well, a license sticker stuck on the case for Vista yet it's running XP.Please Log In to post.
