It's been in my auto updates for weeks, but I heard the new messenger isn't as good, is this true?

Also, is movie maker in that pack?

Don't get Messenger. Get Pidgin instead. Open source and ad free.

Try Pidgin. You will most likely switch.

Keep 2009, don't get the new 1, they have removed nicknames all-together, its extremely bloated with useless junk, and the footprint is huge. If the old messenger roughly took 10% of desktop space, this one takes 30-35%.

Great... Can't install Movie maker without updating Messenger... **** M$.

I'll just try converting them.
