Windows Vista.. 32 and 64bit what the differnce?

I'm buying Vista now but i would like to know if it really is worth spending those extra 15 bucks for the 64bit version? Thanks in advance!

not unless u have more than 2gb of ram. some apps don't run in the 64bit version btw.

64 bit requires all drivers be signed and is only backword compatible to 32 bit. If you have any old 16 bit stuff it will not run. Data base performance is day and night faster with native 64 bit DBs. You may also run into some problems on the 64 bit system the first time windows update runs it will pull in some drivers you don't want. So if you decide to install it make sure you have all the latest drivers downloaded before hand and turn off auto update until they are in. (had win update crrash a couple of hps i put on 64 bit) One other thing about the 64 bit version you don't seem to get the slowdown of the machine after time as bad as you do with a 32 bit system. I have been running 64 bit vista since release day.
