From what I've heard, the 64 bit version of vista isn't compatible with a lot of programs, but after looking at a compatibility chart it looked like most of the programs tested worked. Does anyone know what the most major compatibility issues are? Are there some really common programs that won't work in the 64 bit version?

How long do you think until the issues are mostly fixed?

Drivers are the primary issue with Vista 64bit. Most drivers aren't as compatible with the 64 bit version, meaning that your devices are less prone to work. However, as the 64bit OS is more adopted, drivers will become more available.
