Am I the only one having this problem? I can't find any help anywhere online. When I play a game (Bioshock, Unreal Tournament 3, Half-Life 2) all of a sudden I will be on my desktop looking at the windows search results screen. I am using a keyboard/mouse, and I am not hitting any weird keys, just arrow keys and mouse buttons. Usually it happens when I fire a weapon. I tried to disable the search service (which says it's disabled and stopped) but it keeps doing it. I have a EVGA 9800GT, AMD 64 X2 6000, 2GB RAM and my computer works great except for this. I also tried finding a shortcut for the search so I could change it or shut it off, but couldn't find any info on it. Any help would be appreciated!

Strange, try to remap the keys back to their default settings (WASD, btw you should really play with these instead of arrows). Does it still do it?

Never happened to me either on Vista Ultimate 64-bits. Isn't it a service that you can permanently turn off?

Are you using any kind of fancy mouse, meaning one with more than just the left button, right button, scroll wheel? A lot of new mice, especially from Logitech, have a small button below the scroll wheel that will automatically bring up a search function. It's easy to hit by accident, and is very sensitive on some mice. Gave me no end of trouble on one of my previous mice until I disabled it in the mouse software.

I have a similar problem. Except that no search thing comes up.
When playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2, all of a sudden it jumps to Windows (2 times a hour or so). Extremely annoying, and you are usually dead when you get back into the running game.

When working !!!! in windows, any work window activated also looses focus from time to time, and a few quick standard Explorer clicks can be heard and then the focus gets back to the originally activated window.

My system is completely new, bought it a week ago, so the chance that of some junk have been installed on it is slim.
Running fully updated Windows XP Professional 64bit, on HP Pavilion Elite, Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300, 4GB RAM, GeForce 9800GT.
Using standard wireless keyboard and mouse (no additional buttons on them)

The original post is almost two months old. Secondly your comparing apples to oranges cause the OP was using Vista and your not. XP 64 has many issues that vista does not.
