Ok so i have had to reinstall Vista a few times because of stupid things i do. Well, it reports my graphic index at 1.0 and usually that is fairly high being a 5.5 or something, actually higher i think. Now it says 1, but i can still run all my games...What's vista's problem?

You have to do a refresh since the index was done before you installed the drivers.

I don't know but I do know that Vista moves those marks down when new hardware comes out. Say you graphics card gets 5.9 today, 2 years it might score 3.2 because they move it down because new hardware is faster.

Those Vista scores though are pointless. Run a 3dmark06 or vantage.

ok, well i have an ATI Hd3870.......and it gets a score really of nothing. Vista doesn't even give me an actual score though....it constantly says i have new hardware. Believe i know how my comp should run, i was just hoping for a fix to this random bug in vista, i'd like it fixed, but i can live without.

That's the problem. If it is installed, uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Have you even used Vista? Christ, you guys are annoying.

It did the same thing to me when I got my 8800GT before I updated the drivers, so just update the drivers and refresh your score.
