Wireless G Adapter with Wireless N Router?

I'm getting a new PC on tuesday and i want to be able to connect to the internet. however, i have my old wirelss g adapter. will i be able to connect it to my wireless N router? if not i still have my old g router that i can connect. i mean we don't even have any N devices in the house.

N are higher ranged and lower latency signals, they are much more powerful and have almost twice the range and twice the bandwidth limitations. You may not notice a change if you got slow net or are sitting very close to the router/access point.gigatrainer

Uh, g, b, or n are going to be basically the same for internet browsing(wan). They only matter for lan transfers.

Well unless you have 300 mb/s internet... which you would be in Japan or something.

Are you planning on doing a lot of lan transfers? If not, then you will see no speed increase.
