Witcher or Rainbow Six Vegas, Which to buy?

Intel Q6600

2gb ddr2 800

400gb HDD

Get the Witcher for PC and Vegas for your console, if you have one.

I kinda think that Vegas is a great game, I don't understand where all the hate is coming from.

Vegas for Pc is buggy,poor performance, but they did nice nice job on the controls.

Definetly the Witcher, because Ubisoft really half-assed the PC version of RS: Vegas, it's a great game and all, and I still play it a lot, but with poor support for the online community, it use to be huge when it first came out, but now you'll be lucky to find a server with 3 people in it.

I'm also a Ubisoft hater cuz of RS: Vegas and SC: DA and other half-assed ports now, if you're gonna go multi-plat. do it right!

If you have even a passing interest in RPGs, you have to get The Witcher. If RPGs don't appeal to you at all, you have to get The Witcher.

...Vegas sucks.

I'm just kidding - even though it is a bastardised and shallow version of a very cool, deep and unique PC shooter series, it's actually a pretty amazing game. There's a powerful sense of your own mortality and the firefights are on the one hand absolutely intense because you can die so easily, and on the other hand absolutely 'king tedious, because you do die so easily. I played it, loved the early levels, found the later levels a little annoying, was glad it was over, was pissed off it ended on a cliffhanger, decided not to ever play it again or its sequels.

The Witcher, though. If you do like roleplaying games - it's a must buy.

ya Vegas is awesome. But its even better on 360; side-by-side co-op rules in that game.

The Witcher is a PC only title, and the best RPG to hit the shelves in a long, long time. Get that, not Vegas.

The hate stems from the fact that, it's a heavily, heavily simplifed version of the earlier Rainbow Six games.

This is very true. But in Vegas's case, fun factor > dishonor to prior game formula

Games are meant to be fun, after all, and Vegas is exactly that.

As is The Witcher, it preforms lousy.... at least it's not a 1/2 assed port. +1 for The Witcher

There are plenty of games like R6 Vegas; meaning there are plenty of superficial arcade shooters. Vegas is amazing in that it makes you feel like a commando, without actually doing anything a real commando would.

which genre do u prefer more if ur looking for a longer single player epxerience then the witcher but if u like online multiplayer then go for R6V u will max them both at at high rezjohnny27

There is hardly anyone playing Vegas online, I only see people playing Team Sharpshooter mode in like 2-3 servers the rest empty.

The Witcher looks like a game you really need to devote a lot of time and energy in to, RSV is very fun but i don't think you'll find the online easy to get into. No offense meant but RSV online is very competetive and the fans play it a lot so i hear.

Witcher is also pretty hardcore RPG, by that i mean potions maps diary entrys clues riddles and its apparently hard to find what you are meant to be doing.

Also it comes down to personal choice, these are 2 completely different games and about the same price i beleive, are you more RPG than FPS or visa versa ? Vegas is probibly less demanding on your noggin but you need to be quick so if thats how you opperate i'd say RSV.
