I saw the advertisements awhile ago but thought it would be a cheap rip-off expo. Because EB products are always over-priced, but now I'm really considering going :)

Shame it's not the weekend after the coming one, I could go over and see the Expo and V8 Supercars, in one weekend.

It's all the way in the gold coast which sucks big time. What I want to know is why the east coast gets everything but then they miss out one event and they start whining over it.All I ever got in Perth was Supernova which just had one preview of The Darkness 2 and Neil Kaplan signing Starcraft 2 Posters(Which was pretty epic).

Pretty good list of games but I don't want to go all the way up to Queensland for it.

Aus is a very independent country Not poor by any stretch of the imagination. One of the most economically sound places in the world nowadays. You guys should be proud. You guys just get the shaft sometimes when it comes to games

Now all we need is half decent network infrastructure, and we'll be golden.

I lol'd Having been to GamesCom and the EuroGamer expos this year, and visiting the E-Games Expo when I had the chance in Melbourne, Aus, there just isn't a market at all for it in the country. The EB game expo is a glorified way to accumulate lucrative Christmas sales, thanks to the overpriced games in Australia. Which is an absolute joke compared to GamesCom being the worlds biggest games tradeshow open to the public, and EuroGamer being much more of a gamer event ala PAX in the States.

Depends what you define as it. I honestly think the last two decades of Australian politics has been a league of regressive incompetence for a first world country, which is overwhelmingly depressing, but hey yeah, it could be far worse, or a shambles like others.

I am originally from Argentina. If you think the AUS government is bad (which I agree it is, specially with that stupid Carbon Tax) then go live in South America for a few years... they openly admit they are corrupt and do it in front of the public.

Oh certainly, I don't disagree, thought I meant more in regard to it as a first world country, and even by that standard it's far better then others globally. Nonetheless, it all stems from people demanding better and more from their leadership in these situations (such as Australia). After recently moving to the UK, while it's sure as hell not perfect here, the level of standards are completely different, which makes sense really. Anyhoo man this is pretty OT.

Yes very true....we are going into deep OT here, it's just that I love talking about politics (even though I don't know much about them), hahahahahahha. Someone get Adam Jensen in here to sort it out ASAP.....lol
