World In Conflict Directx 9.0c error

Hello. I keep getting a critical error "You need Directx 9.0c or higher" when I run World In Conflict. Now, I know I have Directx 9.0c because I've reinstalled it twice and I can play Bioshock. Any suggestions as to things I could try? Anyone else have this error?

Did you try installing directx off the world in conflict dvd?
