According to the in-game test, I get an average of 23 fps maxed DX10, but fraps tells me I average in the 30's.
I have the same type of video card. I'll download the demo to see how it runs on my PC.fps going down in demo...but other new games play good on my comp?

Well, your monitor doesn't determine whether or not you can play at high settings, your PC does. And with your specs (especially the single core processor and only 1 gig of ram) don't support running it on high settings.
This game doesn't really seem optimized, my pc's a Pentium D 2.8GHz (OC@ 3.4GHz) 2GB RAM, 8600GTS. The game runs veryyy good on 1360X768 on medium settings. But once I crank it up tp High or Very High, I get horrible lag. So if it's ran higher than medium no matter what res i got it on it completely lags. Anyways, I'll still be getting this great game because I can run it in 1360X768 on medium graphical settings. The 1360X768 is my monitors native res.gamer082009
Well the GFX and CPU aren't THAT great.
Anyway I run it max on DX9 @ 1280x1024 with everything full ... AA, AF, Shadows, Everything.
I have a X-2 4800+ and 256mb 7800gtx and 2gb ram.
I was in the beta, too.
It fried my GPU, artefacts all over the place, colored dots on the desktop etc :(
It was very smooth at 1680x1050 with all settings high.
The only moment it gave me about 17 FPS was when you look very closely, (and try to rotate around) the biggest explosion effect. I can't really recall the name of the strike you call down. it drop two bombs I believe and the effect is massively large.
It's a demo, I'm positive there will be some optimization done prior to release, or a few fixes in patches.
The game does offer a tremendous field of view with many excellent looking environment effect, from simple buildings to every vehicle.
When you count all the massacre going on and calling of air strikes, the game feels very epic.
Plus, if you put 2-3 options to medium for example, you won't even see any difference in game visuals, but you will get higher frames.
I've only played the beta on my old computer and it worked fine. I played it on a p4 3.0ghz, 1gb ram, 6800LE on kinda low settings but it still looked pretty good so I can't see why it didn't work good on your computer.ikwal
Same, and on my new PC the game runs like a dream. I think its fairly well optimized, especially considering how great it looks.
I have to know, what is it you are seeing in this game? I played the beta and that lasted all of about an hour. I mean the sounds were muted, your 'soldiers' are just little splashes of color the infantry is so darn tiny. The combat itself was boring and uninspired....people will really pay 50 bucks for this??silunt
