I played WoW for about 8 months, which is about the standard time I hear for getting one or two characters up to 70 (or 80 in the nearish future) and gearing up to raid. I did the big 70s raiding gigs for about two months before getting bored and uninstalling. I'd say that if it's worth it to pay $70 to get the game and the expansion, as well as $15 a month to get 8-12 months of addicting and fun gameplay at the risk of forsaking ALL other games, then go for it. It was a quite fun game. But it has a huge potential to suck you in and take more of your moneys. Plus, keep in mind that Warhammer is coming out in early '08, as well as other good MMOs, so while lots of people still play WoW, many will switch in the next 6 months or so.

Try the free trial on the official website and see for yourself if you like it.And it is easily still the most played pc game so you will never feel like there is no one to play with. As for fee's...its 15 bucks a month...which sounds bad but really isnt terrible.

I know you think 15 dollars is alot but think it out if you bought a game every month thats $50-60 dollars and it only has what ehh 6 to X amount of hours WoW is endless its like buying a new game for 15 dollars every month cause theirs all new gameplay and such to explore ill admit 15 dollars is alot since i dont currently hav ea job (im 15) i probaly wont start playing till 16 since i already have an offer for a job (yay)
I'll have been playing WoW for a year this Tuesday. 9 million people play the game still so you don't need to worry about there not being enough people. As for the cost, it's $15 a month. That's pretty much the cost of a movie where I live.
it's the only game that can keep me away from my 360 for months. that is saying something!!! for $15 a month, the smooth online experience is unlike anything else in gaming. as far as if anyone still plays, there's over 8million people that play right now. if that's not enough people, then i dno't know anything!!!
this game is really addicting. i didnt believe people when they told me. ialways said this game sux, its for nerds, ill only play it for a month. 1 year later i was still playing it.i just forced myself a few months ago to delete it and have not played it since. i kinda miss it but i think the price is too much they should make it free . bizzard is already loaded lol.but i did have fun playing i'd say give it a shot.
It is a good game and you will get your 15 dollars worth, just look at how much content WoW had in the begining and how much it has now. It kept me sucked in for 2 years.
I liked it, played it about 5 months, got to 70 got 90% epic gear, pvped a lot, arena a lot, some raiding. I Don't regret it at all cause I had fun for the 5 months and I sold my account for $405.00. Now I'm using that to buy all the new games coming out. But yeah its fun while it lasts but you have to move on at some point...so if you're new to it I'd recommend at least trying it.
