Another week, another screwed up patch for the blizzard team. Week after week, Blizzards patches get worse and worse. Longer downtime, more excuses, more delays. You pay blizzard a monthly fee for game time for that month. This month, you have missed appx. a full week of paid play time and blizzard does NOTHING to improve.

I know, I know, QQ more or whatever the kids say... Im sure this post will get remarks from the peeps that parents pay for there playtime instead of being out playing sports or making something of there life while they have the chance.

Anyway, point is here, WOTLK is released in close to 24 hours and players are going to make blizzard a millioniare over and over again with this xpack. Guys, don't let them run over you anymore.

I don't care what other MMO you play, they NEVER have the problems blizzard has week after week as they take your money. Get some brains people and stop playing this game till they get things together.

4 years since launch and they get worse, not better. This is getting sick and nobody gives a >>>>

That is all i have to say. Now go out and buy the xpack, continue paying your 15.00 a month and continue taking it up the *&^

Well I'm a college student and I'm not at home when these problems are occuring so I'm going to go ahead and take a pass on the anti-Blizz revolution; but you go ahead.

It will be one less huntard begging for a stocks run.

You know, I'm sorry, but I am so sick of the people that respond this way - When a company is taking in over 150 million dollars a month they have an obligation to everyone paying their monthly fees - And the very reason they have so many servers, is precisely because they have so many customers - therefore they need to adapt to the volume and make it work or warn people that because they are such a huge company with such a huge client base that they can no longer offer quality service to their customers. Quit standing up for them and making excuses - the first poster is right - Until we convince ourselves that the addiction to this game is out of control, and quit paying them, they have no reason to improve the services. But please people, stop with the "You try to do it" crap or the "They're such a big company" CRAP! The very fact that they have a huge customer base is the exact reason they should have the staff, to make it work more smoothly and to handle customer concerns.

Today I logged in to find that all my in game mail is gone! I figured it would be based on the messages all day from Blizz yesterday - Now to some of you who aren't addicted to the game like me (/embarrassed) losing some in game mail might not be a big deal. But the mail I lost happens to represent hundreds of hours of farming, questing etc. On the patch they lost 18 pets and 35 mounts off my main and to make a long story short they told me they can't do anything else and I'm out of luck. one of the pets is a 1 in 1000 drop - and consistently sells for 3500g on my server - Days of farming (and my life) wasted. if the same thing happens to the mail I will probably move on to something new out of frustration - I understand there will be issues with the xpack etc. but when they start losing my stuff and not replacing it that's where a line needs to be drawn. Blizzard's customer service is CRAP!

Surprise, surprise. Look at all these knowledgable posts. This forum thread goes right along with 99% of the wow community. Ok guys, go buy a car from Toyota (huge company, lots of customers, makes millions of dollars) and when you buy that car, every month you have nothing but problems. What do you do in this case? say oh its a huge company with lots of customers so its ok? I know, its a car and this is a game but same philosophy. They are taking our money every month and have nothing but problems.

When this game was first launched and a few years after that, everything was great, I mean for a game this size you have to expect some problems that is understood but for the last year or so, its just a joke. Blizzard does nothing to compensate us for the time that we paid for.

Yet again, servers are down for coming on 2 days now, but who cares, its only 15.00 right? they are a big company right? This will bring it to over a week of downtime with 0 compensation. The problem is people above that just do not care and come up with a thousand of excuses for them so they can get away with this junk.

First off, this is the game industry, not the car industry. What are you whining for anyway? Apparently you don't know how Blizzard operate and you rushed to these forums to whine about blizzard based on your own assumptions without even thinking or searching for 3 seconds.

Any downtime that takes more than a day is usually resolved by giving that same amount in free time to the customers, it happened in the past and will happen in the future, deal with it. If you can't handle not playing WoW for more than a day, than i suggest you find help. Btw when this game was launched, it had the same damn problems as it has now, game was unstable, servers crashed and the same thing happen almost every patch. Its not Blizzard, its the game genre that is like that, it happens in every damn MMO.

This is not the car industry, this is the game industry. Like I stated in my post, same philosophy. When first launced, all mmo's have problems, that is understandable and I never said anything about that. That comment about them being great when it was launched put aside the initial issues that all mmo's face.

Second, its not about going a day without playing wow.  I have 2 kids and a girlfriend, I go many days without playing wow.  Its the simple fact that I pay to play the game when I want, its hard to do that when there is nothing but problems.

Third, when blizzard gives me free game time, my complaining will end.

So kiddy, don't post just to talk *&%( cause you surely are clueless.

Apparently you have enough free time to cry in a random forums about wasting $15.. If you don't like it leave, most rational adults would do this speciually with a life you claim to have so much responsibility in. Furthermore this isn't complaining this is crying.. Blizzard doesn't read this forum, how bout you do something productive and send them a email if your so concerned with this, instead of crying about not getting your fix for a full day.

Wow, congratulation, you sure like to point out you arent a kid, problem is you act like one and it makes you no different than anyone in this thread. You can't even make a comeback so you result to insult, very mature there buddy.

You are the one that is pretty clueless, a mmo is always in constant instability due to its own nature. If you can't deal with the fact the game will go down every now and then, why are you playing it? Why are you supporting it and more important why the hell are you whining where your voice has zero impact? You know, i used to play WoW too, ive quit at some point because i was unsatisfied with the game but i didn't have the need of **** and moaning like a  12 years old. Im amazed you actually created an account for the sake of whining on Gamespot about WoW.

Have fun whining for no reason, you can keep your head in your butt looking for **** to brew instead of using your head to think for a minute but in the end, you will realize how pointless it was once you log in your account management and see a 3 days free time, then you will keep fuelling the blizzard machine with your money and forget about it. Also if you want to whine, this is not WoW forums and the customer support sure isn't looking here.

I just got out of college and making roughly 17 dollars an hour Canadian (That's worth 3 cents American I believe...kidding) and I play different MMOs off and on. 15 dollars a month is nothing to cry over, just take the advantage of the downtime to do things that you have to do when you could play the game. Aka, clean your home, go to the gym, go get groceries, or do the unthinkable and work for some extra money. If you don't have to do any of that then either you are on hard times in which you should be concentrating on other things then a game, are too young to have such worries, or have someone that handles these things for you. In that case, go out and find another form on entertainment for the time being.

As for it making WoW a failure or Blizzard should bend over backwards....you tend to forget that you clicked something when you first signed up for the game. You may faintly remember clicking "I agree"? Well that was for the Terms of Service. In this document that you more likely skipped over, it plainly states that Blizzard holds all rights to ignore complaints about issues or requests for refunds. Basicially, you cannot do anything to do about your lost gear, time, or money. Blizzard does tend to help out people with ingame problems (I know I had help for the time I played the game and multiple friends of mine have had issues resolved for them) and do it in a somewhat timely fasion. You just have to remember that there are 11 million subscribers and only a limited amount of Blizzard staff. I'm sure they are working as fast as possible and may even have to throw out some requests to tackle a more immediate issue that may be affecting more people then just yourself.

My suggeston, get over it or find a new game to play. I'd recommend a game that doesn't cost you a montly fee so you don't get the feeling that the company owes you anything or that you actually have rights.

blizzard reimbursed 3 days for the crap that happened a few weeks ago.

regarding your 'toyota' reasoning:

sure, i'll go buy a toyota, then every week i'll have to stop and go put gas in it (downtime & $) and every once in a while it needs to go to the repair shop for a day or two.

sure sucks when your own reasoning comes back to bite you in the ass huh.

just because you can post, doesnt mean you should

LOL no other MMO has problems? You haven't been playing MMO's very long. And to call WoW a failure is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody gives a crap, because nobody else has a meltdown when they've been having a few weeks of problems in preparation for a new expansion. Here's an idea, go take a walk.

A fascinating read. I must say. Not only do Blizzard make MILLIONS because of OUR money, they just get complacent and do nothing. Week after week, patch after patch, whem will you realize....the PRE-TBC days are gone. WoW was the best game, BEFORE TBC! After TBC and now with the release of WoTLK, WoW is a 'nothing game' Heck yeah, its as addictive as coke....or more! But the fact is there is no, shall we say, 'rythm' to WoW. It's all just a useless grind and as much as it may be fun, there is no gripping facsination about WoW like they used to be. I could go on forever, but i'll leave a short message:

Blizzard is the only MMO provider where I feel good about paying 15 bucks a month.

Why?

Because they offer the best support, most reliable servers, and more. Their game is polished, and if I have to endure the occasional 2 weeks or so of laggy gameplay because they take the time to make weekly updates, so be it.

And get used to it...Wrath is coming out, and it will be at least one or more weeks until that is polished up. And that is fine by me. They have millions of accounts to deal with so I can forgive them so long as the situation doesnt get as bad as Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, Anarchy Online, etc etc.

You want to talk about failures, just look at 80% of all MMOs ever released.

I gave up on World of Warcraft over a year ago... but it had nothing to do with Blizzard's support or the downtimes or anything like that. In fact, I thought that the game was incredibly well run and maintained considering it's scope and the huge amount of players online at any given time in any given server.

I gave up on the game simply because I got tired of chasing the carrot. Things were all fun and dandy at first, see new things and explore... but eventually that non-stop grind of chasing the carrot hoping to get that next trinket or drop or earn more honor ot whatever just sucked every bit of fun from the game. I was playing because I felt I had to and not so much because it was enjoyable. If you are complaining about Warcraft because it's not availalbe enough, then you are in WAAAAAAY too deep and probably need to take a step back regardless.

Whats funny is that I agree with you, the grind makes the game boring and stupid. Now I only tried it for 2 days on the 10 day free trial, but i know about the grind of games. Just for an example Oblivion and Morrowind at one point always come down to a grind. What is impossible to do is argue that the Grind makes the game suck, because that is what most RPGs and MMOs are designed to do. They all grind at some point and there are lots of people who like that (11 million and counting). The people posting back (about it not being available)  have gotten too involved simply because they like to live a second life, they like the grind.

After all  you play games to find some enjoyment so why not let them waste their lives playing WoW

But Basically you can't argue with WoW fans because they love the grind...

(you cannot convince me that they don't so don't even think about it)

O and personally I think that WoW sucks...a lot... (Before the hate Mail pours in... im not going to check back here so don't post it :P )

Apparently you didn't play when the game was released - when the servers would be down all day Tuesday, all day Wednesday, and part of Thursday every week. Blizzard always refunded that lost time.
