No. WoW is a shallow mmo where all you do is grind. There's no player shops, no unique looks, no nothing. It's a mainstream game which means it's crap. Anyone can pick it up and play it. There's just no depth to it. It's so simple that's it's pathetic. And the endgame requires you to invest tons of hours (we are talking months here) to get absolutely nothing for your troubles. Crap, that's my vote .. where is?BounceDK
You're mention of the Endgame clearly means you played it enough to get that far. It can't have been that bad if you were willing to invest that many hours into it. I think that you should re-think your answer.
Maybe you've feel as though you've seen all there is to see and you're bored now but that doesn't warrant calling it "crap".

Yep, I actually play through games before I comment .. Believe it or not. And I'm calling it crap . .well .. because it is crap ... It's such a shallow mmo and I'm surprised why anyone above 60 keeps playing it ..I think that World of Warcraft is a great game. Granted it's mainstream as far as MMORPGs go and it's mainstream for a reason. The game is solid. There is fun to be had leveling up a few different charecters at a time. If you want to listen to the people that say that it's just a grind to 70 race, well that must be how they are playing the game. If I'm not mistaken isn't the point of a game to level up and make yourself better? You play at your own pace and that is what is really nice about this game. You can play for an hour and do a couple quests and feel that you've acomplished something. It is also very possible to get wrapped into the game for hours on end and eventully make your plans around events with your guild. If you are looking for a game that will run well on almost any modern system, great gameplay, not filled with bugs, has an open ended interface (via player made add-ons) and the benchmark that EVERY other MMORPG will be compaired to I would recommened giving this game a try. It took me all of about two hours to really get into the game and wanting more and more and more and more and more... you get the point.
There has to be some kind of demo out there for free or a couple bucks. I'd recommend test driving it before buying it. It won't take long to make a decision about the game. I think people are getting burned out on the game and like to talk smack about it. So I guess that means that the game has an end for some people. When you are prepared to post about a game after playing it for so long and then you get fed up with it and need to bad mouth it. Take it for what it's worth and ask yourself what do you really want out of a video game. After you know what you want start looking for it instead of bad mouthing something that had your attention for so long.

Yup.
[QUOTE="Sabinas"]I can't believe the number of WoW haters out there! WoW will go down in history as the greatest MMORPG ever...BounceDKONLY because of the number of subscribers (and 25% bots/gold diggers). It's a crappy game, just deal with it.Dude calm down well anyways i think WoW is the 2nd best MMORPG cause it has subscription fee(i know u probably think im poor im not i just think is waste of money)and Guild Wars is way better.

All mmos (and ive played alot) are ponitless,*** filled level grinds.
If you have friends that play it or want to play it with you then it is a good idea to pick it up, but without friends it is dull IMO.smokeydabear076
couldnt agree more, its fun only if you have a number of friends that play it somewhat often. otherwise unless u make friends on some random server, it is boring from start to finish. it also can be a very time consuming game. i was at lvl 62 on my druid before i quit and i have 23 days played, and that is considered a very low ammount of time for that lvl.
It's a great game. Don't listen to BounceDK...he pretty much hates and bashes every game released.
Seriously...millions of people don't play becuase it is crap...they play becuase they are having lots of fun playing the game. One of it's huge downfalls (imo) is the end game...which takes MASSIVE amounts of time to get all the best equipment. But even if you don't stick around for the end game, lvl 1 - 59 is amazing and a trully fun game. It took me nearly 6 months to get to lvl 60, and I played twice a week for 2-3 hours at a time. It is really fantastic exploring WoW.
As for the haters...don't listen to them. I will tell you why they hate it so much. They are the "Scorned lovers of WoW". All of them played for years, invested crazy amount of hours playing, and got addicted and wasted their lives away. Now they are sick of the game and like a hurt lovers, say tons of crap against it so to feel like they did not waste thier lives away.
Just ask yourself one question....if it is such a terrible game...why did they play for many months/years to get to the end game?
It's a decent mmo, sure; it has great graphics, sound, animation, etc. But it fails to do hardly anything different that hasn't been done before in previous mmo games. On top of that, the pvp is really shallow, so basically it's a repetitive, mindless pve game.
Play it to 60 and quit. As has already been mentioned, end game is abysmal. Untill that point, it's a pretty decent game. It's definetly overrated, but also not as awful as some people would have you believe.Alaris83I got to 60 as well and I agree that it is not very good when you reach that point. All I could think about is all the wasted time that I had spent.
