Worst MMO?

What's the worst MMO you have ever played?

Mine is SWG...well that's after SoE completely ruined it with the changes...

Those are all FAR from the worst MMO. The worst MMO I have ever played was Maple Story.

I tend to stick with Blizzard MMO's but if you really want to know the worst MMO's try playing the free Flash based ones like Fiesta or Flyff, a very sarcastic wow to these games. I'd rather have nothing to do at work :)

pretty much all the korean ones

swg is still OK in my book despite the bugs. lotro is great. i don't think that maple story counts as an mmo though

I thought that an MMO would feel exactly like a Tolkien book. Drawn out, boring and time consuming.

I'm only going to count pay-to-play MMOs.

That being said: Vanguard was horrendous.

Forgot about that one. Yeah that was absolutely terrible. Horrible bugs, terrible graphics, just really crap all around.

Books are supposed to be time consuming, you can't really use that as an insult :P Besides, most fantasy read like that back when it was written.

As for the boring part, that's in the eye of the beholder. That's the wonderful thing about books, nobody has to agree on what is boring or crap, because it all comes down to preference and personal opinion.

Back on topic - I would say Age of Conan as well, for the simple fact that it was a completely broken shell of a game.

WoW. Fantasy stuff isn't my forte and I hate disney graphics.

SWG was awesome, then it was good, then it was god awful horrible pile of crap, then it was just a pile of crap, then it was bad, then decent, and almost started to get good again, but now it's starting to become bad again.

Yeah, I agree with the SWG part.

But your WoW part is going to begin a war:?

Someone mentioned Horizons.. wow, I totally forgot about that game. And I agree, it's the worst one I've played so far. So many promises, so much hype, and then it totally tanked. I was really hyped for the game when it was first announced :)

Also, Vanguard may have been terrible at release but i think it's really good now.. I played it for a month or two earlier this year. My main problem is that I don't have any friends playing the game and there weren't very many people to group with at lower levels, so I became a little bored with playing on my own. But the game seems really good overall, and the combat has a really good "feel" to it.

Games that are "near WOW" are not even MMO they are more like ONLINE RPG

GuildWars is NOT mmo,and same is with dosen japanes/korean/asian whatever "MMO-s"

I remember some "WOW KILLER MMO" with just 6 players in same "instance" lol thats not MMO thats just online RPG

What you say is all opinion. Believe it or not, people actually play WoW because they ENJOY it. Amazing concept, I know. Popularity does say something about how good an MMO is. Right now, WoW is the best ON THE MARKET. WAR... well it hasn't even been released yet. It won't topple WoW, nothing will at this point.

I've played just about every MMO under the sun, and I can honestly say I've by far had the most fun with WoW.

I agree with both...

WoW is the best on the markey because it's enjoyable (for a time) and it's the most popular.

However, I think that Roland123_basic has a point. Don't stick with just 1 MMO...Try out others...

This is my view on what the following MMOs are like...

WoW - a lot of work required.

CoH/V - fun based...not too much work required...very repeatative

SWG - just crap now...but in its prime it was a good mix between WoW and CoH/V

GW - not sure really...I only ever played it once (during a PvP trial or something)
