Ive never even noticed a bug like that. IVe played through the game repeatedly (on vanilla and 1.2) and have never seen that. Oh well, lucky me. :D
I would have to go for a bug in Oblivion, where the game was incompatible with my current video card drivers. It wouldnt render any objects (terrain was fine), so every object in the game appeared as a giant exclamation mark sign (you know the ones, yellow triangle sign with black exclamation mark). That was fun.
Dead space, right at almost the end when you have to put the damn resonator on the meteorite, you simply can't, I heard it's a bug that few people have, but I think I'm one of those few people, I simply can't finish the game at all, I just can'tVlashkgbrI was able to do it no problem once I figured out what to do...never noticed any problem(retail version, unpatched) What seems to be the problem?
For frustration I'd have to say Fallout 3. It crashes (sometimes to desktop, but usually black screen requiring a restart) about once every 15-30 minutes. I'm surprised how much I actually play it. Most would just give up.
For just straight up terrible - in Anachronox I remember there was an item I needed, and it just wasn't there when I got to it. All the walkthroughs said it was there, but it simply wasn't, and so that was the end of the game for me for a while. I returned to it a few years later. Brilliant game held down by bugs.
Randomly falling through the terrain into a blank void in Daggerfall - especially when you forgot to save for a couple of hours.
Or in Deus Ex: Invisible War being catapulted a hundred feet in the air when trying to jump onto some objects.
Or in Neverwinter Nights 2 (when it was first released) and some encounters wouldn't trigger at all, preventing you from going any further in the game - ie, game stopping bugs.
Or in Gothic 3 when you completed a quest before it was even given to you.
And last but not least - the sound bug in Sniper Elite that has prevented me from ever playing the game. It always crashes within five minutes. And yes, I tried all the suggested work-arounds to no avail.
crysis, crysis warhead, and crysis wars all have a bug for me that causes the game to spazz out when i look at a parachute :|
theres only like 2 instances in the sp when that happens but in wars it happens a lot. I have no idea why. and this only happens when i see a parachute
Hehe well when I played it I got no bugs at all, guess im lucky! For frustration I'd have to say Fallout 3. It crashes (sometimes to desktop, but usually black screen requiring a restart) about once every 15-30 minutes. I'm surprised how much I actually play it. Most would just give up.
