also is it worth it???? for $500.

Nope,Vista will KILL ALL computers with less than 2GB RAM.

Having at least 1 GB of RAM is sufficient enough to run vista.

Personally for ~$100-300 more you can get a much better laptop. Somewhere in the $600-800 price range is the sweet spot for budget laptops.

But the laptop you described will be good enough for daily tasks and stuff.

I love how these people try and sell a rig with vista on it with less than 2gig of ram i dont get it...its not a bad craptop tho

This is simply not true, The vista version that comes with the laptop should run perfectly fine.

It would be for gaming mostly, Im looking for somewhat "cheap" laptop, Thats what Im asking the girlfriend to get me so I dont want her to spend too much.

You'll need to spend at least $1500 for a laptop thats ANY good for games.
