...to spend an extra $70 on a XFX Geforce GTS 640MB instead of the cheaper GTS 320MB? Keep in mind that I'm a teen and my budget is limited to $1500 for all my components.

if it breaks the budget, you can drop down. And its more dependent on what resolution you plan on playing, 16x10 and below, the 320 is fine for that, above that rez you'd want to hit up the 640. Another factor to think about is that if games do indeed start raising their vram usage, you can see the benefits of having more memory, Crysis looks like a game that would use alot of vram, and many games are looking to probably follow that trend.

tough question...maybe buy the other components first and see if u have the 70 left over. It is worth it the long run for future proofing(buying a 640mb 8800gts) but right now there isnt much off a difference, espicially on monitor less than 20"

your call, but if the budget permits, the 640 is better in the long run.

I agree. Games will only use more Vid-Ram as we go on, most likely...better to have too much than not enough :)

HP is for their monitors, I love em! And eVGA....who doesn't love a nice step-up? :) But thanks, it's just a preliminary sig till I have some time off next month ;)
