It would work for most games out there. It could use a graphcs card upgrade. It definately wont be running crysis on maxed settings, but it will get you from A to B. The one thing to consider is that tech is constantly changing, what maybe able to play the majority of games at decent settings may not be as effective 6 months from now. However, you can always upgrade. Honestly upgrading and working on my computer is the best part for me. As far as Starcraft 2 goes, check the sppecs. You want to meet the reccomended requirements.

Wouldn't get that to play games.

1. It has a very slow graphic card.

2. The CPU is a dualcore, your looking at playing two RTS witch often make use of more than two cores. (well if you keep playing RTS many more games do use multi core threads.)

3. It's a prebuilt dell, i would try to build a custom PC, you will still have warranty on all the parts you buy.

Most people here build their own with parts from Newegg and similar sites.

"cyberpowerpc.com" Cheap and quality. I wouldn't reccomend building your own system your first time out. Experiment with upgrading and maybe build one your next time around, it can be frustrating if your new to it.

Yes it's doable, but i have to get to work now, i'll check in later tonight and make a build for you. (If you don't already have some good choices here by then.) To build one on your own is very strait forward, alot more easy than building a advanced lego. ;)

Nope, a fresh build need a fresh install. ;) Most new games use DX10 althru you can use DX9c but better, windows 7 does support DX11 and is a very good OS. If you have the OS on a DVD/CD you can re-install it on your new build, but i would recomend you gettin Win 7.
