Would this graphics card fit my PC?

I was thinking of buying a HIS H587F1GDG Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready i wanted to know if i can even fit this inside of this computer HP Pavilion Elite can anyone help me. open up the pictures on the page and see if it is going to fit in the case, if you can tell.

Potentially. You may want to open up your case and measure the distance between the rear of your case up to your memory sticks. 5870 is roughly 10-11 inches long.

Still, even if it does fit, that case is way too small to provide a good airflow for 5870.

you might get lucky because the motherboard seems to be upside down leaving some room for a graphics card to stick out. there's a whole bunch of wires in the way though but i'm assuming you will get a new psu anyway to power that card. so if you get a modular one that will be a lot easier to manage. you're going to want to be sure though so i suggest you open your case and see what you have to work with.

yea i was going to buy a new PSU, and second off i'm asking this question before i buy this computer. I think i should wait until i actually get it. would i be better off with a GTX 260?

the GTX 260 is the same size i no becuae i have it, and its not worth it because its soo pricey from what i c and nothing compared to the 5870, suggest u choose another pc or just build ur self one instead as u havent bought that hp yet
