So would you? I would since I don't like that M$ has a monopoly on it and Windows is getting bad for gaming (Vista anyone?)

There is no such thing as a gaming OS and there will never be, unless it's for a console.

Anyway if a new OS is released I'll get it after at least 5 months or so, I'll just wait for them to fix some of the issues that it'll have since no OS starts out perfect.

Vista works fine for me, and probably not because I like to atleast get a few years out of an OS before switching to another.

I'd be more interested in a Windows install option tailored to gamers, ie. with a minimum of services and background crap set to automatic.

I think i will wait at least 1 year for windows 7 after being release.Because there always going to be some compatible issue for new os and besides vista 64 is doing good for me and it will also support dx11 unlike xp which dosent support dx10.

I am going to purchase Windows 7 as soon as it is released. I have been Beta testing it for quite some time and it runs flawlessly. Everything I throw at it runs with no problems including old games from the 90's.

I am not running the 64 bit version. Seems every 64 bit verion of an OS that comes out has too many problems.

well if you mean by another company, i honestly don't think any company will be able to pull that off without a substantial amount of patchwork after initial release, so i would have to wait at least a year. as far as windows 7 goes, i plan on getting that pretty much as soon as it comes out as long as i hear good things about gaming on it.

Yea, that's what I voted. I have Vista now and it would have to be a awesome OS to get me to leave Vista. Vista has some features I really like.

It's not all that expensive unless they saw you coming and ripped you off. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116493

Windows 7 is shaping really well. I played with no problems in the beta version and the interface is so practical and beautiful. I'm not using XP anymore and yes I completely skipped Vista.

Lucky. Now you get a free version of Windows 7. I don't because I've got VIsta Home Basic. Stupid Microsoft.
