Let's see... No BSOD's. No having to hunt down for patches from some random website and then ultimately have to go to fileshack and deal with an 8-hour-long queue just to be in the last ten to download the file. No having to worry about incompatibilities here or there. No having to drop the kind of money that can buy you a car in order to get a system strong enough to handle a brand new game. A console also has a lot more games featuring co-op play than PC gaming in the last ten years has. I can actually resell a console game, where no game store on the planet earth will buy a "used" PC game. It is a very tempting offer.codezer0
Alright. I'll trade you a Xbox 360 for...
"intel E6300 | eVGA 680i SLi | 2x1GB G.Skill DDR2-800 | eVGA 8800GTS(640MB)"
IMO, I honestly don't see how that is tempting at all. I think you would be better off buying one yourself.
This generation's PC gaming pretty much does most console games anyway. You really get the best of both worlds by having a PC. Capcom looks like they're firmly into PC gaming now with Lost Planet and Devil May Cry, so we're going to get some Japanese games as well. Even MGS4 and RE5 have a decent chance of hitting PC. phan1
RE5 has been rumored to be ont he PC list, but the following year.

Hmm let me see, all EBGames in Canada are required to accept PC game trades unless they are certain titles that only grant one online account per CD key.

Not all Canadian EB GAmes. In Kelowna you are not aloud to trade in games or movies but in Vernon and Penticton you can, which are only 20-30mins away.

Yeah, I think they stopped the Metal Gear Solid series on PC with 2. I don't think there is any wayin hell that MGS4 will get to PC.
Already have an Xbox 360, thank you very much. Also, I'll put it this way. The last game I have bought for this computer since building it was HL2: Episode One. Why? Because most of the games I would have been interested in all had some ridiculous copy protection that would have killed system stability, or otherwise ruined the experience. Bioshock? Yea, right. Now even just trying to play the game as a separate user apparently trips off the thing's activation scheme with SecuROM. I had to buy it on the Xbox 360 because there was no way in hell I was going to tolerate that. SC: Chaos Theory? Nope. All the disks that are out there still have StarForce on them. Had to buy it on the Xbox instead. Overlord? What's the use when the recommended control configuration is to use an Xbox 360 gamepad anyway? I think Oblivion is boring as hell, and even when I did get to borrow my roommate's copy to play it, I still don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do or how to do it, or if I'm even doing it right. Pretty much all RTS's got boring as hell for me after playing C&C Red Alert. And from what I'm hearing, I may need to drop another $1000 to upgrade my newest system just to even be able to play Crysis, and probably again for Far Cry 2 or anything else from Ubi I may want to run. And money doesn't just magically show up in a big bundle for me. I had to grind and bear with my oldie for about four years before I was finally able to get enough money together for the system I have now, and it really grinds my gears to be told that I suddenly have to upgrade again and drop some huge cash all over again just because of a new game that I may want to play.Alright. I'll trade you a Xbox 360 for...

I actually have traded in all my computer games. So yes it does happen on planet earth. You just cant trade in games like WoW and BF29mmSpliff**** and you know it. No game store ever has accepted a PC game. I've been to game stores here in orlando and kissimmee, down in miami and puerto rico, and even up near staten island in new york. None would accept any PC game. Hell, no store nowadays will refund you at all for an opened PC game, even if it ends up crashing and ruining your system to the point you have to reformat and reinstall. I'd want some proof to your claim before I can believe that.
Well I guess you are just burdened with bad luck. I have had no problems at all with copy protection and I've seen no affects on performance at all.
And... If you want to sell your games, try Ebay or Craigslist.

Do you keep ignoring the fact that I have told you that Canadian EBGames accept PC Games? Or do you just ignore it as it does not pertain to the all great United States?
Well, translated, he means he can't pirate games.ocelotcougarWhere in my whole message was I even talking about pirating games? :? I don't follow.
What good is knowing if an EBGames in Canada will accept PC games when none where I live ever have or ever will? They practically spell it out as store policy: NO PC GAMES, period.Do you keep ignoring the fact that I have told you that Canadian EBGames accept PC Games? Then you should state "No stores in my area will accept PC game trades" instead of "where no game store on the PLANET EARTH will buy a "used" PC game." The last time I looked, Canada was part of the Planet earth....or maybe the moon has changed a lot over the past few decades that I have lost my mind.
Well, last I checked, as a condition of being part of a franchise to a large corporation (of which EBGames/Gamestop would count as), you would have to abide by certain codes. And the "NO PC GAMES" rule seems to apply to every chain I've ever been to. I could only merely assume that this was part of corporate policy, and not so much store-specific policy. Then you should state "No stores in my area will accept PC game trades" instead of "where no game store on the PLANET EARTH will buy a "used" PC game." There is also a store in Canada called Microplay that does accept PC Games but use to rent them, not 100% sure if they do anymore. I know that you were just going on personal experience but the best policy is not to assume. Too bad you can't trade your PC games though, got any real gems that I could possibly be interested in taking off you hands? I'm the kind of guy who when he buys a PC game he keeps it no matter if I could trade it in.
I agree with copy right protection and how it hampers the honest buyers of PC games. That is the main reason why I purchase from Stardock. They have a policy to not have any protection (Google Stardock vs Starforce), no CD keys, and No need for the disk in the drive. But then again, most copy right protection isn't as bad as people say and don't cause most people any problems. I mean yes, when I tried to launch WiC, I did get the securicom not liking my virtual drive but when I tried to launch it again it worked fine. So as you can see, it can most of the time be a minor inconvenience.
Hmm, might as well answer the question like I was originally going to do. I started out gaming on a PC (TI-99 was my first) and it brought me into the world of gaming with TI-Invaders. I also grew up with a NES, Genesis, N64, PS2, Xbox, and currently have a Xbox 360 so I do enjoy consoles also but I tend to enjoy PC gaming more than my consoles (Xbox 360 was getting probably an hour or two a week of play compared to my dozens of hours on my PC....it is currently getting no hours as my 360 is dead...) and I am also in the computer industry so the computer is my baby. So in saying that, I would never trade my PC for a console. If anything, I'd purchase the console if I really wanted it.
