WoW Expansion is it needed?

Answer: The expansion adds a new level cap & continent which is only reachable at lvl 60. It will take you atleast a month to get to 60, so get the expansion then. You might want to buy it now if u want to play draenai/blood elf.coolmonkeykid

I know what the features is but is it really worth it?? Can I still have fun/ get the most out of it with just WOW?

Igght Lemme clear things up First off my quiestion was If I should get TBC expansion of WOW, not asking whether I wasted my money or not,
second the reason I wrote WOW= World of warcraft was cos you siad "What the hell is wow? Go exchange it for a better MMO, World of Warcraft" Now I take it you hate WOW and were just ripping on it but I answerd your quiestion just in case.

And Lastly "Get Tetris, now that's AAAA. " Tetris is a old Retro game I use to play back when I was a kid and why'd you mention that for.... I'm asking if I should get WOW TBC (an MMORPG game) now if you mentione another MMORPG game instead of Tetris then that would've made alot more sense.

It depends, if you want to just start out without going after a Blood Elf (please don't there are FAAAARRRRR to many of them out there already) or a Draenei, then yes get the expansion. For the first 60 levels, that is all you will get out of it are those two races and the ability to play a Horde Paladin, or an Alliance Shaman. If your willing to stick with the regular game until you toons get closer to 60, then don't buy it until you find out whether you like the game or not.

It is a great waste of time, and I have enjoyed playing it for close to 2 years.

Oh and one last quiestion IS TBC expansion only available in DVD format or is it also CD.... cos the WOW I got is in CD'sPimpiNbananas

Yes....kinda.

You buy the trial version of WoW (its abour $3 in the US). That comes with a DVD version of the original. Works just fine installing it then logging in with your regular account. I do that with my WoW installs, and still use the original WoW cd keys.

I recommend getting the expansion once you hit 55 or 58.

dont listen to this guy...if you follow his posts, you'll see that A. he never says anything constructive, and B. his use of the english language is annoying at best.

As for TBC, no you dont need it. The new races are cool, and the new lands are good for fast 1-20 leveling, but since your 17 and you likely have a few months to go before youre 60, you can hold off. When you hit 60, then you should get TBC.

Just remember...play WoW in moderation, you'll enjoy it more.

This entire thread made me very confused. Back to the topic, I would have bought the World of Warcraft Battlechest for $30 or $40. Saves you cash and you get both the original and expansion plus two unneeded strategy guides which is not a bad deal. Since you have already made your purchase, I would pick up the expansion once you hit 58 so you can head straight through the Dark Portal.

As for being graphic intensive, it really isn't. It still runs on the same engine but just looks even better this time. So, don't expect much of a difference in terms of frame rates when heading into expansion zones.

ok to join a guild, you ask a person already in that guild you want to join and they send you an invite to join the guild. second, warriors do NOT suck. they do tons of dmg, have cool armor, and needed in almost every situation (raiding/group wise). stick with warrior.chillaxen

yea well I heard from forums and ppl on WOW that Warriors have been nerfed soo much that there comletely useless, hell even paladins make better tanks now then them. Blzzard has completely screwed over the warrior class and longtime warrior fans are quiting cos there fed up. So I think I'll go ahead and make myself a paladin or hunter or warlock.
