That game is amazing! It has the best RTS graphics I've ever seen. Awesome controls, and best of all its a setting I actually enjoy rather than the boring settings many other RTSs have. I'm going to buy this game soons I can, but I'm broke and busy now but by the end of the summer...

Anyway the real point of this was a question. Playing the Carentan demo mission I had to fall back to the church and barely held the "huns" off untill Able Company arrived, I found CoH so hard, D-day was hard and I was playing on easy :P. So how long (approximately) does it take to get good at it, and is it normal to have so much trouble at the beggining?

Hope I love the full game and skirmishes as much as I did the demo. Thanks for the help

I'm no klutz at RTS, but I also found CoH very difficult. I didn't finish the game (got just past 1/2way), but it was grueling for me at points. Perhaps it's simply our play style, because I rarely ever see others say the same thing. Or maybe others are too proud to admit it's difficult. Either way, it's a uniquely challenging RTS.

Perhaps it is my play style; I usually keep my army together in RTSs, foolish I know but I find humour in defeating smaller forces without a single casulty. If I was able for the Carentan mission I would have blown the two bridges on the side so I could concentrate solely on defending the middle bridge.

I would say try the Warhammer 40k demo and see if you find that somewhat difficult, since they have similar principles (not playstyles, don't bumrush me). If so, that's likely the answer.

Well I'm sure I'll ajust to CoH, and I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying it, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem at the start but later ajusted and got better.

EDIT: PS I'll take that advice and try Warhammer: 40 K, thanks for the tip.

The campaign starts off easy (once you learn the controls and what your doing you'll find it easy) but as you go into the campaign, it gets harder.

Skirmish and multiplayer are awesome though.

CoH was the best RTS I've played since Red Alert 2. I rarely even play RTS games but I really liked who realistic the game felt, truck getting out of control and crashing into buildings when shot at and that kind of things.

Company of Heroes is one of the best, if not the best, RTS ever made.

This game is the reason why I got into PC gaming.

I've been playing this as well. Amazing, amazing rts. It was too hard for me on Medium, then switched to Easy and now things are a bit more manageable (I'm around 5 missions in). Getting better, too.

Definitely try the Warhammer 40k games, they are very similar. CoH feels like an advanced, realistic version of WH40k.

I also thought the demo for Company of Heroes was very cool. I'm not very good with RTS games and it's been said that Company of Heroes is one of the more difficult RTS games. Do you people recommend that I play more of the Warhammergame before getting Company of Heroes? I used to have Dawn of War but I never finished it. I've been thinking about getting it again or getting Company of Heroes.

I've played through the singleplayer on the hardest difficulty, you just gotta use your head more often than not to get through the tough situations. Would have liked it if they raised the campaign cap above 75.

I never played online. My comp slightly lags in singleplayer, and mega-lags online, so i avoid that. I still download the patches.

And you should really try DoW. All of Relic's games are great. I even recommend their older games, like Homeworld 2.

I have finish CoH about last week, normal mode, don't want to try the harder level though :) I think the hardest campaign is when you have to defend hills til dawn, then you have to capture and defend winning point, I have to restart it for 2 times... but other scenario isn't that hard, I don't need to restart it...

Great games!! Pretty hard?? Not really I think...
