Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm a twenty-two year old girl with a propensity toward being addicted to certain games. It may be more accurate to say I have a problem stopping when I really like a game.

As in I come home from work, don't eat dinner, start playing at 5 pm and look up and its 3 am.

Everyone tells me to go for it.

So, should I or shouldn't I?

Ehhh, if you really want to, then there's really no talking you out of it, but the way you described yourself, I strongly advise against playing WoW.

The reason for this is I went into WoW not really a HARDCORE gamer, and what I mean when I say hardcore is like I would game for under 5 hours a day. But when I got into WoW I sat home all day, played through the wee hours of the night, and got fat. :/ Not a good situation to be in. That, and sometimes playing it feels like a job.

But maybe I'll be able to control myself, seeing as how I'd have to pay to play it. No?

Hmmm...I suppose you could, but just the way you described yourself kind of makes it sound like you'd be sucked in. :P I mean, it couldnt hurt to play the 10 day trial, and if you take up pickpocketing to pay for your first month, then you will know that you shouldnt play WoW. :P

I wouldn't get into wow now that I see that you get addicted to games and can play them for hours on end easily because that WILL happen if you play wow and happen to like it.

It's kinda different to different people. Some people it doesn't have that big of an effect on. Once you hit the level cap you tend to slow down though. W/e you want to do, it's a memorable experience.

I think you just answered your own question. Personally I say don't bother with it. I broke away fromWoW about a year ago. Gave all my stuff away and deleted my characters, and never looked back. It's a fun game, but, will suck your life before you even realize it.

Yeah, I don't know. I have a few friends who play it, and they're always like "DO ITTTTT!" and I'm just not sure. I mean, it sounds like fun. I was way into a text-only RPG way back in the day, and I know WoW is different, but for some reason this makes me think I'd love it.

I feel like it would be the text come to life, or something equally lame.

Get out while you still can, that game ruined my life, luckily I got it back on track lol. It was one of the reasons I guess why split with my ex-GF.

Luckily I was only sucked in for a year, but it could of been longer, and my life has been so much better since I quit that ****

I advice you to not subscribe to wow, only if you have self-control, then your all right. The amount of time that is needed to play this game is emmensely long. Dont play it. It about ruined my life and im glad I quit, and never will return to it.

I'm gonna have to come straight out and call this post a fake. This is pretty ridiculous IMO.

We are talking about an MMO. They suck your life away. I don't refer to WoW as a game anymore, but as a Time Machine. You will look up and wonder what happened to your life, your 60 pounds over weight, you have lost touch with Real people and all you will have to show for it is some pretty pixels.

I wish I was joking. The fact that this has taken me months of deliberation (I mean, come on, either you play or you don't play) is embarrassing.

Don't do it. The only casual part of the game is leveling from 1-70. Once you get that after a month or two of playing, what is there to do other then raid to progress? NOTHING BUT SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF YOU AND REPLACING IT WITH FAT.

i raid in wow 5 days a week and recently ive been getting a bit burnt out so i log on pretty much just to raid now.

but i think wow would be good for you, honestly wow is not a casuals game , you either got to give your soul to it, or you will find yourself sitting in the same gear as all the other casuals, just questing and repeating the same 5 /10 mans over and over and then maybee trying to do 25 mans and failing because 3/4 of the ppl you do them with A. suck B. have crap gear C. will afk D. didnt read the strats or E . all of the above.

but if you find yourself playing a lot, you will find yourself in a good guild, good gear, and if you spend some time theorycrafting and number crunching . www.elitistjerks.com you will find yourself an excellent player on top of that.

IMO if i came to a situation where i had to stop raiding due to RL, i would quit, theirs nothing more boring than not raiding ( you can hardcore arena, but youll find yourself getting bored of strait pvp unless you turn out to be excellent, and then Sk- gaming will recruit you )

By the sounds of your personality, I couldn't think of anything worse. You will get sucked into the game and probably never come out. If you are able to do that then go for it, but if you have a job, responsibilities, friends that like to go out.... you should probably stay away.

Yeah. I think I'm gonna have to pass, or at least wait until I hate everyone I know and want to get fat.
