Big whoop. Come back when you start showing us some in-game runs with the thing, at a real man's resolution, not that 1024x768 **** that 3dMark runs their benches at. Any modern GPU can perform well @ 10x7. It takes a serious **** of a graphics chip to do the same at 1920x1200.codezer0

Does that help? or do you want me to post 10 other reviews?
Congratz :)

lol, i sense anger for some reason ;)SSGWrighti sense a flame war.. maybe i shouldn't have said that?
Congratulations! 19,000 marks is nothing to sneeze at. Very impressive overclock with the Q6600 by the way.
Oh, and it might be time to update your sig. :P
what is stocked overclocked? if I get someone at geeksquad to make my comp, can they make a quad core that is overclocked with this card, and if so do I have to get some watercoolant/coolant device?ket222
Its called factory clocked not stocked overclocked ;)
Its where they make faster versions of the basic models but they are still able to be overclocked themselves. As for making a QC overclocked with this card then yes its very simple and overclocking doesn't require water cooling but it does help, I would recommend custom cooling options for your cpu (water cooling or heat sink/fan setups) if you are going to overclock cause they do run pretty hot otherwise.
If you do overclock a 3870X2 then I seriously would make sure your running a custom water cooling setup on the card itself because they already in load with the fan setup they come with run at 79-80C (while idle its very cool at 50C).
Yeah, its the time now to update your sig. Hope you would enjoy now gaming with that card.
I cant wait till i get my hand on one of these as well
yeah i got 2 asus 3870x2, one's still in the box patiently waiting for the crossfirex drivers. I also ordered 2 EK waterblocks for them. I should be getting them tomorrow.
I also just got my q6600 stable at 3.8, here's a new link
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=5247952
can get it to boot at 4.0 but it's not quite stable yet
this card is really impressive, I was expecting alot of issues with it, but I've had literly 0 problems with all of my games. I even run crysis at 1680x1050 with everything on very high except shaders and shadows, those I had to leave on high
Holy hell, that's quite a score. Very nice. ATI just went up a notch in my book. :P
Thought I was high and mighty with the 12.5K posted by my Opty at 3.2+SLI'd GTS-640s...
holy crap do you have crysis and how does it preform?crippo_gamer
you do know that GPU is no better with is dual cpus config compaired to something of the same power but with 1 CPU when playing crysis!! im not sure if its a bug or just badly programed to take us of muilty GPU cores! there were some benchmarks i think! or am i getting mistaken for the new intel montherboard with its dual CPU setup?
man i'd love to know how to overclose the FSB and ram so they work in harmony, but im useless at it :(yeah i got 2 asus 3870x2, one's still in the box patiently waiting for the crossfirex drivers. I also ordered 2 EK waterblocks for them. I should be getting them tomorrow.

[QUOTE="Lilgunney612"]Resolution 1280x1024 when did you become such an ass anyway? in the full version you can choose the res. still very impressive.codezer0And just as quickly someone can post a 3dMark result at 640x480 that shows them having 10 million 3dMark points, too. Your point? 3DMark is a joke. You don't play 3DMark, it just runs through prerendered **** And it's not like both ATi and NV have not been guilty of coding their drivers to artificially bump up the benchmark scores that their hardware gets. The fact that people still have such a throbbing hard-on for some benchmark score that has nothing to do with actual game play just signifies that you need to increase your e-dick to make up for your own personal... shortcomings. And fawning over people like this just lumps you into it as "guilty by association", far as I'm concerned. Why the **** should I care about how a 3DMark @ 1280x1024 or 10x7 is when I game at a much higher resolution? What's the ****ing point when I don't care about gaming @ 12x10, but rather at 16x10 or 19x12? Or even 2560x1600?
HAHAAAA little emotional are we?? mommy can't afford a good card for you?? damn man relax, why even bother posting that crap?
a card still has to use it's "power" to render all the 3dmark tests, show me one card that scores low on 3dmark but is a beast at "real world games"... face it, if a card can put out good numbers in 3dmark it's going to put out the frames in games.
3dmark uses the same principle as the games do... it takes the 3d model made of polygons puts a texture on it and renders it with shaders or without it. this takes the cards memory and processor, and the less the time it takes to render the best result is. some of the GAMES problem is that they lack support or maybe driver suppor for the game.

You don't have to rain on his parade.
3DMark06 is the most used, unofficial PC benchmarking tool used by enthusiasts worldwide.
You don't have to get all moody over a statistic if you think so little of it.
