I never heard of "Guilds of War", either. I saw the topic and thought you meant "God of War" and was going to reply that they're completely different types of games. Having never heard of the one I can't comment on which is better. WoW was entertaining for a while. It got boring for me. Your mileage may vary.

WoW is clearly better but Guild Wars has free online play. WoW is better for everything. GoW is better if you just want to do counterstrike style matches and don't want to pay a monthly fee for it. In Guild Wars you still have spells just fewer of them making the game pretty stategic. Nice. First time I've ever heard it called Guilds of War before.
I played Guild Wars for a while, never tried WoW, but from my experience with the Guild Wars I don't think it can be considered an mmo with all the instancing...stick to Fpses my friend :)
