I have downloaded the trail of World of Warcraft, but do not really know whether to get it. I liked the trial of it, but I'm only 14 so it's kinda hard for me to get money. Is it worth the buy?

I honestly wouldn't bother. Get a game where you can play whenever you like. WoW is not really fun anymore, its all about getting to 80 and how fast you did it. kinda lame to me. but i still play from time time. If you find it a struggle to get money, then i would just avoid it for now.

You ask most forums and all i can say, you will get a "NO!" most of the time, with probably a few WoW-bashing posts. I find it funny but most gamers have this need to be a "WoW" hater to look "cool". Whats more funny is, most of them have played WoW for a time (and were prolly addicted to it too!):D

I had personal friends that were once hardcore WoW fanboiz but now that they moved on to other games/MMOs, they will never let up an opportunity to tell everyone who "they've been there, done that and hates it". Its like how your friends tried to convince everyone that THEY are the ones that dumped their hot exs, not the other way around. lol.

All I can say is, WoW is a pretty good MMO, if you are one of the demographics that its targetting. Which is pretty big. About 11 million active subs as we are speaking. Secondly, treat games, regardless if its Wow, Yay or whatever thats the biggest thing in the gaming scene as a hobby. HOBBY. Not your life. You'll be alright if you do that.

a lot of really good points, but the fact is, you will very likely get addicted to it. If that doesn't scare you, then have at it! It's a great game minus that whole "addicting" thing.

No way. Since basicly once you're finished the trial, you've seen everything the game has to offer.

I played WoW for about a year, got my lv80's and all, played each class to get the hang of them. While that was fun it was all over at 80. After that it's just grind the gear on dungeons with your guildmates. Gets really boring after a while. If you have a free trial then go ahead and play it. The first 2 weeks of WoW are the best that game can offer.

[QUOTE="IMaBIOHAZARD"] a lot of really good points, but the fact is, you will very likely get addicted to it. If that doesn't scare you, then have at it! It's a great game minus that whole "addicting" thing.

I cannot deny that its very addicting. I kinda lost about a number of friends to that thing (and have gained them back...but lost them to another MMO again lol). But i kinda realised that when I chose not to play WoW, I instead burnt my time playing one newly released HOT super FPS/RPG/RTS/you name it, one after the other. Whe I thought I made the right choice not to play WoW, i then realised I was actually addicted to playing COD4 multi night after night. In the end, its kind of the same thing. Thing is, the whole "gaming" thing is one addiction black-hole. The only way to control it...is to smack yourself silly out of it. And sit down and seriously think about your life and what you actually REALLY want to do with it.

I hope this is a joke post, I really do. And nice one on the WoW bashing folks, most people who bash it havent even sunk time into it, play the trial and decide for yourself, thats what real gaming is all about, not some elitist fad of bashing WoW.

the thing about WoW is that if you play with a group of friends its alot more fun then if you want to play it by yourself. I play WoW with a group of mates a few hours a week and we all have a ball running around doing random stuff.

i know people who have quit, come back, quit again only to come back again so there is something there that makes people enjoy it (11 million people agree).

and another thing WoW isnt as addictive as everyone makes it out to be. It only takes a few button presses to turn it out and you can go and do something else. the only ones who are "addicted" are the people who work for the dole or reckon the world will end if they log out of WoW.
